During his press conference after the conclusion of the NATO summit in The Hague, U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly mentioned the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia, implying an attempt by Serbia to initiate a clash.<\/p>\n

Responding to a question about Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019s territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine, Trump emphasized that in recent weeks he and his administration have also been engaged in the situation in Kosovo and Serbia, without providing further details.<\/p>\n

Question: General Caine said that Putin has territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine. Do you see it the same way?
“Possibly. I mean, possibly. But I do know one thing: he wants this to end because it’s a disaster for him. Putin called me a few days ago and asked, \u2018Can I help you with Iran?\u2019 I told him, \u2018No! You can help me with Russia.\u2019 In recent weeks we have been working with India, Pakistan, Kosovo, and Serbia. Also, on Friday, we will be visited by representatives from Congo and Rwanda, where there has been a severe conflict,” Trump said.<\/p>\n

He gave no further details, but at another moment, when asked about the difficulty of resolving conflicts, Trump again mentioned Serbia, which according to him was on the verge of starting a clash, without specifically saying whether it was related to Kosovo.<\/p>\n

“Look, we just ended a 12-day war that had been brewing for 30 years. We ended the conflict between Rwanda and Congo, who will come to sign a document at the White House on Friday. We also ended it with Serbia, which was about to start a clash,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
