Touristic Albania is gaining increasing attention from major international media outlets, which are turning their eyes to the country as an undiscovered and highly attractive travel destination.<\/p>\n
German journalist Sussane Petersen from the renowned WDR network, along with director Jonas Dress, have been in Albania for several days working on a documentary about a German vegan couple traveling across the country in a camper van.<\/p>\n
Their first stop was the northern capital, Shkodra, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise for the journalist.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be honest, the part of Shkodra where we stayed is a true paradise. The nature is almost untouched, very beautiful and diverse \u2014 I really like it. The lake is perfect for swimming and so much more. The old part of the city is also very charming, with colorful historical buildings. When people heard us speaking German, they came up and asked, \u2018Are you from Germany? That\u2019s great \u2014 my son lives in Germany.\u2019 They were so friendly. I really enjoyed being in Albania for the first time. We\u2019re looking forward to seeing Gjirokast\u00ebr, Berat, the ocean, and swimming in the Adriatic,\u201d said Sussane Petersen, journalist at WDR.<\/p>\n
For German director Jonas Dress, Shkodra is a place he definitely wants to return to.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlbania is impressive. I never imagined it would be like this, and I truly recommend it to everyone in Germany. It has everything: the sea, the mountains, the lake, the people are incredibly kind, and the food is fantastic. I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll come back very soon,\u201d said Jonas Dress, director at WDR.<\/p>\n
The director noted that Albania is becoming increasingly well-known in Germany.<\/p>\n
After filming in Shkodra, they will continue shooting in the south of Albania, wrapping up along the Albanian Riviera.<\/p>\n
