{"id":79862,"date":"2025-07-15T20:11:53","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T18:11:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=79862"},"modified":"2025-07-15T21:12:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T19:12:56","slug":"government-decision-self-declaration-of-address-becomes-mandatory-on-e-albania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/government-decision-self-declaration-of-address-becomes-mandatory-on-e-albania\/","title":{"rendered":"Government decision: Self-declaration of address becomes mandatory on e-Albania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every citizen residing or living in Albania is now required to self-declare their address through the e-Albania platform.<\/p>\n<p>According to the government\u2019s latest decision, citizens must also upload ownership documents of the apartment or rental contract if they are tenants.<\/p>\n<p>The same procedure applies in cases of address change.<\/p>\n<p>In such cases, citizens must upload any valid document that proves their residence or dwelling at the declared address.<\/p>\n<p>The method for submitting the declaration or address change request is defined in the decision published in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCitizens perform the declaration, change, or correction of residence electronically by uploading the property ownership document, rental contract, loan-for-use agreement, usage agreement, or any other legal document that proves residence or dwelling at the declared address,\u201d the decision states.<\/p>\n<p>Civil status offices are obligated to verify the accuracy of the addresses and notify citizens within 24 hours if any documentation is missing.
