The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, will submit her comments to the Constitutional Court on Tuesday regarding the issue of the Parliament\u2019s constitution, her media advisor Bekim Kupina confirmed.<\/p>\n

This action by the President follows the decision of the Constitutional Court, which last week imposed a temporary measure preventing the newly elected deputies from undertaking institutional actions and blocking any procedure for the formation of a new government. The measure, imposed ex officio<\/em> based on a request from the Serb List, will remain in effect from September 5 to September 30, 2025.<\/p>\n

Kupina did not provide details about the content of the comments to be submitted by the President but emphasized her consistent stance:
“No one should have the right to block institutions, and consequently the state. As stipulated in Article 57(4) of the Constitution, the exercise of community rights is inseparable from the obligation to respect the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and not to infringe upon the rights of others.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The Constitutional Court\u2019s decision has sparked broad debate in public opinion and the political scene, as it is considered an unusual precedent that suspends the normal functioning of institutions after elections.
