Every year, around <\/span><span class=\"s1\">15,000 patients<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> come here to benefit from the healing properties of the area\u2019s thermal waters. Among the most loyal visitors are Albanians from Kosovo, who say they feel relieved after their stay, with many returning twice a year,\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">reported <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Edlira Xherri<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, journalist for Euronews Albania.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">One visitor shared:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cWe choose the Elbasan thermal baths because it\u2019s a peaceful and beautiful place. I have diabetes and some nerve pain in my legs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2013 Do the baths help?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cA lot, really. There\u2019s no better place.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Another visitor said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cWe were told it\u2019s good for health, so we came to try it. It\u2019s our first time here \u2014 my brother came before and recommended it. We suffer from arthritis, bone pain, rheumatism\u2026 look, my fingers are twisted \u2014 that\u2019s why we\u2019re here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">A different patient added:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cI suffer from arthrosis and a herniated disc. They suggested I come here, and I can already feel that my body feels lighter after bathing in the sulfur water.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Many of the visitors are <\/span><span class=\"s1\">returning patients<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, convinced that the effects of the thermal waters are felt immediately after treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cEvery time I come here, I stay for 10 days. My leg pain disappears completely. I\u2019ve been coming here for <\/span><span class=\"s1\">15 years<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> \u2014 it really helps.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Asked why they choose Albania\u2019s baths instead of those in Kosovo, one woman replied:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cBecause it\u2019s cheaper here, and the water is better. In Kosovo, I didn\u2019t feel any improvement \u2014 but here, the water really helps.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">The Elbasan Thermal Baths have thus become not only a <\/span><span class=\"s1\">destination for medical relief<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, but also a <\/span><span class=\"s1\">cross-border meeting point<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> for visitors from Kosovo and Albania who believe in the curative power of natural waters.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The period from September to November marks a significant rise in the number of visitors to the thermal waters in Tregan, Elbasan. \u201cThe Elbasan Thermal Baths remain one of the most visited health tourism destinations in the country.
