In numbers, about 480,000 people have low incomes and are at risk of living without minimum living standards.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"432\">According to data published by INSTAT for 2024, compared to 2023, there has been a decrease of 30,000 people living in difficult conditions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"553\">The income threshold that defined poverty in 2023 was 680 lek per day, or about 20,400 lek per month.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"555\" data-end=\"768\">Families most at risk of falling into poverty are those with dependent children under the age of 18 and living with only one parent. In contrast, families without children face a much lower risk.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"997\">Social benefits, such as old-age and family pensions, which are included in household income, reduce the risk of poverty.
