President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, spoke to reporters about the formation of the new government. Osmani emphasized that if a new government is not formed, she will set the date for new elections, but added that she does not want to assume there will be a failure within the remaining timeframe.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t rush to make assumptions that the formation of the government will fail. There\u2019s still a little time left. Let\u2019s wait and see,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Osmani stated that the efforts of political parties to form coalitions are usually not visible and are often learned about very late, as they take place behind closed doors.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs for the efforts of political parties, let me go back a bit to my own experience when I was part of a political party. Most of these discussions between parties happen behind closed doors. Often, you find out very late \u2014 sometimes even those of us within the parties found out late. You may recall some of those coalition cases,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The President added that she does not interfere in the discussions among political parties.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I wouldn\u2019t suggest that there are no efforts. Just because we don\u2019t know about them doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re not happening. I\u2019m not sure whether these efforts are sufficient, because as President I do not intervene in discussions between political parties.
