Hill: No Evidence of Illegal Activity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Witness <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Christopher Hill<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, former <\/span><span class=\"s1\">U.S. ambassador to Serbia<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, has explained why he decided to testify <\/span><span class=\"s1\">in defense of former Kosovo President Hashim Tha\u00e7i<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> at the Hague.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hill stated that he does not believe Tha\u00e7i was ever involved in illegal activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cTime does not heal all wounds, but I think that after 25 years, it\u2019s time to reflect on things \u2014 and I have no reason to believe that Tha\u00e7i was involved in such activities,\u201d Hill said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">He added that during his time in the region, he had <\/span><span class=\"s1\">never heard or seen any indication<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> that Tha\u00e7i had ordered or participated in unlawful acts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cI have no reason to believe, nor did I hear at the time, that he ever ordered any illegal activities.
