However, I\u2019m not in a position to confirm that,\u201d Hill stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">In response to questions from prosecutor <\/span><span class=\"s1\">James Pace<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, asking whether Hill knew that <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Tha\u00e7i was part of the KLA\u2019s political directorate<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, the former U.S. diplomat said that <\/span><span class=\"s1\">before the Rambouillet Conference<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Tha\u00e7i had indeed been described as <\/span><span class=\"s1\">a member of that political directorate<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, but he could not provide more details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cAt a certain point, he was described as a member of the political directorate. I can\u2019t tell you exactly when this was said, but it was sometime before Rambouillet.
