With over 1 million cars, Albania records a ratio of 434 vehicles per 1,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>There are 1,025,000 road vehicles currently in circulation in the country. Compared to the same period in 2024, the total number of vehicles has increased by 9%, while new registrations have also marked growth.<\/p>\n<p>By category, passenger cars make up 81% of all vehicles, followed by motorcycles with 6%, and mixed-transport vehicles also with 6%.<\/p>\n<p>Tirana holds the largest share with 35% of the total vehicles, followed by Durr\u00ebs with 14%. Gjirokast\u00ebr and Kuk\u00ebs have the lowest numbers, with 2.2% and 2.4% respectively.<\/p>\n<p>During the last quarter, around 26,000 vehicles were registered for the first time, 82% of which were passenger cars.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the most widespread brands, Volkswagen maintains first place with 20%, followed by Mercedes-Benz with 17%.
