The Tax Administration has made public the reference wages in the construction sector and is calling on companies operating in this field to ensure the correct declaration of salaries, in order to avoid in-depth inspections and the administrative measures prescribed by law.<\/p>\n

The call is addressed to all business owners and builders in the sector, urging them to fully and accurately declare wages, as the tax authorities suspect informality in the proper reporting of earnings, part of which does not go through the banking system but is distributed in cash.<\/p>\n

By listing all the trades included in this sector, the Tax Authorities estimate that there will be no salary lower than 80,000 lek per month, which will apply to support workers in construction, repair workers, plasterers, aluminum workers, etc.<\/p>\n

For assessing the risk of taxpayers who avoid declaring the real wages of their employees, the analysis will use as a comparative element the indicative wages of professions in the construction sector, according to the table below. Technicians will not have salaries lower than 100,000 lek. Engineers will be paid between 115,000 and 150,000 lek per month, while the highest reference salary is for the crane operator \u2013 160,000 lek.<\/p>\n

Along with the reference list, the Tax Administration notes that from December 2025 onward, the main focus of inspections will be the construction sector, primarily:<\/p>\n
