The complete works of Martin Camaj, an irreplaceable figure of Albanian modernism, are now published in a single volume.<\/p>\n
The promotion of the work, which spans various fields such as literature, linguistics, anthropology, and folklore, took place at the National Library, with the participation of scholars, literary figures, and readers.<\/p>\n
Among them was Albanologist Francesco Altimari, who focused on the aesthetic dimension of Camaj\u2019s work and its connection to content.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the works share one characteristic: care for art in the selection of artistic imagery that serves the content of the book. There is a connection between the cover and the text. Martin came to Calabria because he had planned to conduct research and to study our dialects. We have old manuscripts of Albanian from the 17th century. He had a passion for content; he felt the absence of readers, but he hoped that this phase would pass. Here, aspects intertwine that link an Albanian tradition with the newer dimensions of European literature,\u201d the Albanologist said.<\/p>\n
Scholar Anton Nik\u00eb Berisha spoke about Camaj\u2019s fear that readers might not understand his work.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis fear was that his text would not be understood. A poetic work is not \u2018understood\u2019 in the usual sense; it communicates with the reader\u2014it is a form of communication. Martin had this concern. His text requires knowledge, dedication, and love in order to enter into it. This is a work that not only demands much, but can also have a greater impact than many other works. We are not dealing with an ordinary publication,\u201d said Prof. Dr. Anton Nik\u00eb Berisha.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, publisher Bujar Hudhri said that publishing the works of a giant like Camaj was one of the great privileges of his life.<\/p>\n
