The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Monika Kryemadhi, ruled out all chances of a potential political collaboration with Prime Minister Edi Rama. Speaking to Ilva Tare on Euronews Albania, Kryemadhi affirmed her conviction that \u201cpolitical offers from Rama are a thing of the past\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the offers of Edi Rama for governance not only are a thing of the past, but I would see every offer coming from him as harassment to someone who\u2019s already been a victim of harassment. Albanians want to return and live in their home country,\u201d, said Kryemadhi. \u201cAlbanians want jobs and a running economy\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

While making a difference between PM Edi Rama and President Ilir Meta, the SMI\u2019s leader said \u201cIlir Meta resigned when it was necessary, but Edi Rama won\u2019t step down. Albanians have never voted for him\u201d, she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the critics against SMI over alleged clientelism, Kryemadhi stressed that the party defends its people and prioritizes the young generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSMI has shaken the political comfort of major structures. I don\u2019t see human clientelism as something bad, but the SMI is focused on clientelism to move forward and employing the young generation. SMI defends its people, and when it comes to denouncing a wrongful act, SMI has punished them and taken up responsibility\u201d, said Kryemadhi.<\/span><\/p>\n
