Compared to December 2024, new lending was around 30% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Broken down by category, business lending reached nearly \u20ac510 million, reflecting an annual increase of about 32%.<\/p>\n<p>Lending to individuals also showed positive performance. During December, new loans for this segment rose to approximately \u20ac130 million, indicating that demand for consumer loans and household financing remains strong, particularly toward the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>A significant share of individual lending continues to be housing loans. In December alone, new loans for home purchases reached around \u20ac57 million. In total, throughout 2025, banks approved approximately \u20ac660 million in home purchase loans for individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, during the entire year 2025, the banking sector disbursed about \u20ac4.5 billion in new loans, of which \u20ac3.1 billion went to businesses.
