Albania is among the group of countries where more than half of the population views the economy as the primary national issue. This level of concern is significantly higher than the global average, where only 23% of adults identify the economy as the most important national problem.<\/p>\n
The trend varies depending on a country\u2019s income level. In high-income countries, an average of 21% of citizens identify the economy or the inability to afford basic needs such as food and housing as the main issue. This share rises to 31% in upper-middle-income countries, 36% in lower-middle-income countries, and 38% in low-income countries. In the latter group, 14% specifically mention basic needs such as food and housing\u2014far more than in any other income group.<\/p>\n
