The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a video message published on Facebook, reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama\u2019s statement this Sunday that he would undertake a legal initiative regarding the suspension of ministers from office when they are under investigation.<\/p>\n
In his response, Berisha accused Rama of attempting to create a legal shield to avoid suspension or criminal prosecution. The Democratic leader stressed that the law allows the delegation of powers and that there are decisions signed by deputy ministers with authorization.<\/p>\n
Among other things, he also called for the February 20 protest, inviting citizens to join him, according to him, to save Albania from Edi Rama\u2019s \u201cnarco-regime.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, in his monologue of deception, Edi Rama delivered his next lie. He told citizens that there are supposedly non-delegable functions. Terrified by the ultimatum from Brussels, by the cancellation of all the meetings he had in Munich, he once again, like a drowning man, clings to a straw.<\/p>\n
He is making a final attempt to create a legal shield for himself. Anyone who heard Edi Rama speak about non-delegable functions understands that he lied \u2014 not once, but hundreds of times \u2014 even regarding the function of prime minister.<\/p>\n
What do I mean by this? In the archive of the Council of Ministers, there are not dozens but hundreds of decisions signed with his authorization by the respective deputy ministers over time. Moreover, this is a legal provision that allows the prime minister to authorize his deputy to sign.<\/p>\n
Secondly, the Constitution itself provides for substitution and delegation. If the President of the Republic travels abroad, his substitute is the Speaker of Parliament, as provided by the Constitution. If a minister is absent, with his authorization he is replaced by the deputy minister, who signs on behalf of the minister.<\/p>\n
So what will we see tomorrow? We will see an act that we have never seen or heard of before.<\/p>\n
MP Edi Rama will present in Parliament an amendment to protect the prime minister, Edi Rama, from suspension by judges or when caught in a crime. He therefore seeks to create a legal shield.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, terrified also by the protest, he used insulting and degrading words for people of the highest ideals, for true missionaries. According to him, they are thugs, mercenaries, paid individuals.<\/p>\n
I tell Edi Rama that they are the missionaries of Albania\u2019s salvation. And that February 20 is the day when the noblest ideals of Albanians, the missionaries of this country, will fill the streets and squares of Tirana to save Albania from the regime of drugs, crime, and theft of Albanians \u2014 to save Albania from the narco-dictator, Edi Rama,\u201d Berisha said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
