Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after a drone attack on Azerbaijan, in which four civilians were injured.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, Rama described the attack as another serious and unacceptable act by the Iran against neighbouring countries, which he said are being targeted without any reason.<\/p>\n
Rama\u2019s full statement<\/p>\n
\u201cThe attack carried out against the territory of Azerbaijan, which targeted civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan region and injured civilians, is yet another serious and unacceptable act of aggression by the Khomeinist Republic of Iran against neighbouring countries, whose only common \u2018sin\u2019 is that they shine on the global stage through development, prosperity and openness, improving the lives of their people every day and making Iran appear even darker and more blinded under its satanic regime.<\/p>\n
Azerbaijan is a valued friend and ally of Albania, a nation that has risen strongly since regaining independence from the Soviet Union. Its national pride, resilience and commitment to development, combined with a readiness for moderation and openness to cooperation with all, have earned the respect of many around the world.<\/p>\n
The Azerbaijani people, like the people of other countries that have been unjustly targeted in recent days, deserve only respect, security and freedom from fear.<\/p>\n
Any attempt by the evil regime in Tehran to terrorize civilian populations or destabilize peaceful neighbouring countries in order to provoke them against the fully justified response of the United States and Israel toward the Khomeinist Republic should not only be condemned with the greatest clarity, but should also serve as another reason to completely isolate that regime in every possible way from every possible part of the world.<\/p>\n
When civilian infrastructure in other countries is targeted and sovereign borders are violated, the line between aggression and terrorism disappears. For this reason, the time has come for all states and institutions that believe in stability, in a rules-based international order and in peaceful coexistence not merely to distance themselves from a regime that repeatedly exports violence and fear beyond its borders, but to agree on what it truly is: a terrorist state.<\/p>\n
We stand firmly with Azerbaijan, with its strong leadership and with its proud people.<\/p>\n
The path forward must be clear. Aggression must be isolated and aggressors must be condemned without hesitation. Those who choose the path of violence must face the growing unity of those who choose peace.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
