Rama: We Are a Safe Country, Protected by NATO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Edi Rama commented on the latest developments in the Middle East, emphasizing that Albania, as a NATO member, remains safe.<\/p>\n<p>In his podcast \u201cFlasim\u201d, Rama highlighted solidarity with affected countries, including Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey, while describing the situation in the region as complex and difficult to predict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, like everyone else, we are also affected\u2014fortunately not physically, but certainly politically, emotionally, and humanly\u2014by the recent developments in the Middle East and by the escalation of the security situation in a region where we have extraordinary friends. We are proud to be one of the few countries that maintain strong friendships both with Israel and with the countries of the Persian Gulf\u2014Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain\u2014which have been within the range of aggression from Tehran\u2019s killers. The situation remains complicated, and it is difficult to predict the end of an offensive launched, rightly so, by the United States of America in close alliance with Israel to once and for all stop the possibility that the obscurantist regime of the Khomeinist Republic of Iran produces an atomic bomb,\u201d Rama said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this moment, of course, for us as for many other countries, the main priority is the safety of Albanian citizens who are in those countries. Our diplomatic missions and consulates in the region are in constant contact both with us and with the local authorities. They are doing everything possible to monitor the situation, inform people, and provide assistance.
