Albania\u2019s Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha held a phone conversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, regarding the escalation of tensions in the Middle East following Iran\u2019s attacks on Gulf countries.<\/p>\n
In a post on the social media platform X, Hoxha stressed that Albania condemns Iran\u2019s actions, describing them as clear violations of international law and a threat to Kuwait\u2019s sovereignty, security, and economy, as well as to regional and global stability.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlbania stands in full solidarity with Kuwait in the face of any destabilizing actions. We support the country\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity,\u201d Minister Hoxha wrote.<\/p>\n
He also announced that Albania will co-sponsor a UN draft resolution in the Security Council, presented by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, condemning Iran\u2019s attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan, and calling for their immediate cessation.<\/p>\n
