{"id":83540,"date":"2026-03-25T20:07:28","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T19:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=83540"},"modified":"2026-03-25T21:38:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T20:38:00","slug":"foreign-direct-investments-in-albania-reach-e1-64-billion-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/foreign-direct-investments-in-albania-reach-e1-64-billion-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign direct investments in Albania reach \u20ac1.64 billion in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Foreign direct investment in Albania continued to grow for the fifth consecutive year, reaching a historic level of \u20ac1.64 billion in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report published by the Bank of Albania, foreign direct investment increased by 3.5% compared to 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank of Albania highlights that the annual growth was mainly driven by new investments.<\/p>\n<p>These reached a value of \u20ac798 million, up by 13.5% compared to the previous year, while reinvested earnings were estimated at \u20ac837 million.<\/p>\n<p>The data show that reinvested earnings remain the largest component of the Foreign direct Investment structure, accounting for over 51% of the annual total.<\/p>\n<p>In the fourth quarter of 2025 alone, Foreign Direct Investments inflows were estimated at \u20ac427 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Bank of Albania, during this period, foreign investments were mainly concentrated in real estate, which accounted for 37% of the total, while the financial intermediation, energy, and hydrocarbons sectors contributed 17%, 9%, and 6% respectively, with transport accounting for 5% of the inflows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foreign direct investment in Albania continued to grow for the fifth consecutive year, reaching a historic level of \u20ac1.64 billion in 2025.
