Prime Minister Edi Rama stated this Sunday on the podcast \u201cFlasim\u201d that Albania\u2019s economy continues to grow while maintaining a positive trend.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe published figures on economic growth for the last quarter of 2025 provide a clear picture of the country\u2019s stable economic performance and clearly show that even in the fourth quarter, growth reached nearly 4%\u2014an indicator confirming the continuation of a steady development pace throughout the past year and previous years.<\/p>\n
What is important to emphasize is that the economy continues to diversify, and at this point, Albania is no longer just an economic offer for those who want to create businesses, grow their economies, or invest from abroad in only one or two sectors, but in almost every sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Rama also spoke about tourism, noting that figures reach 12 million tourists per year. According to him, foreign investments have increased, reaching \u20ac1.5 billion annually.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis week, the second edition of MatchMaker Albania took place\u2014an event that gathers around 1,200 participants, including nearly 500 international investors from more than 40 countries. It creates a real opportunity in a concrete space where ideas, projects, and goals to build synergies for investment in Albania take shape through hundreds of direct meetings between business representatives.<\/p>\n
This event allows participants to become familiar with each other\u2019s projects or with projects seeking new partnerships, both from the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n
What can be clearly stated is that the model we inherited when we came to power\u2014an economy based on low labor costs\u2014has now been replaced by a model that creates added value, quality, and sustainable long-term partnerships.<\/p>\n
The previous model, of a country with two to three million tourists\u2014where even Albanians were counted as tourists whenever they entered and exited\u2014and with an average of \u20ac300\u2013400 million in foreign investments per year, has been replaced by another model: a country with 12 million tourists annually and exceeding \u20ac1.5 billion in foreign investments per year, clearly ranking among the countries in the region as the one with the most significant and profound transformation of the past decade,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
