The ban on gatherings, as a measure taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, now has a deadline until when it will be implemented.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health changed the order signed on the 17 of November, putting an end to the current measures on March 25. The order, signed this month, following a meeting with the Technical Experts Committee, modifies the phrase from \u201cuntil further notice\u201d to \u201cuntil the 3 of March 2021\u201d.<\/p>\n

The decision was\u00a0published\u00a0<\/a>today in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n

The changes come following a request made by the Constitutional Court dating a week ago, seeking to clarify the duration of several pandemic-related restrictions.<\/p>\n

The court reviewed a lawsuit filed by the Republican Party claiming that the ban on gatherings and political activities is a violation of rights.<\/p>\n

March 25 coincides with the start of the electoral campaign for the general elections due on April 25.<\/p>\n
