Finance Minister Petrit Malaj, during an official visit to Washington, held a meeting at the U.S. Department of State with Jacob Helberg, Under Secretary for Economic Affairs.<\/p>\n
The visit took place \u05d1\u05de\u05e1\u05d2\u05e8\u05ea the annual meetings of the Albanian delegation with leaders of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of mutual interest, with a focus on increasing U.S. investments in Albania, the energy sector\u2014not only from an economic perspective but also in terms of national security\u2014as well as regional developments.<\/p>\n
Under Secretary Helberg praised Albania\u2019s role, emphasizing that the country remains an important partner of the United States in the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n
For his part, Minister Malaj reaffirmed the Albanian government\u2019s commitment to creating a favorable climate for foreign investors, highlighting economic stability, growth, and the continuation of reforms.<\/p>\n
