On Martyrs’ Day<\/span><\/span>, a ceremony held at the Security Academy of Albania<\/span><\/span> brought together representatives of the Ministry of Interior, senior leaders of the State Police, as well as family members and relatives of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, to honor fallen officers.<\/p>\n

Those present paid tribute to the service and memory of 231 Police Martyrs, whose names are engraved on a memorial dedicated to them.<\/p>\n

The General Director of the Albanian State Police<\/span><\/span>, Major Director Skender Hita<\/span><\/span>, said in his speech:<\/p>\n

\u201cMay 5, Martyrs\u2019 Day of the State Police and of the Homeland, is a day when the uniform is seen not only as a duty, but as an oath\u2014as an invisible line between ordinary life and extraordinary sacrifice.<\/p>\n

For every police officer, this day is both a mirror and a call. A mirror to reflect on the weight of the uniform we wear. Our martyrs teach us that the uniform is not honored by rank, but by character. It does not shine from the metal of the badge, but from the morality of the person who wears it.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the State Police, today I express the deepest respect for all police officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.<\/p>\n

For those who set out in the morning in uniform and did not have time to say goodbye, but returned to eternity wrapped in the flag, leaving behind a message that does not fade\u2014that when duty is carried out with honor, it becomes greater than life,\u201d Hita said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
