Kosovo\u2019s Prime Minister,\u00a0Albin Kurti, shared photos and details on Facebook from his meeting this Sunday with Albania\u2019s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs,\u00a0Ferit Hoxha.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Kurti emphasized that relations between Kosovo and Albania are excellent and that cooperation between the two countries is essential.<\/p>\n
According to him, coordination and joint action between\u00a0Pristina\u00a0and\u00a0Tirana\u00a0should not be viewed as a political choice, but rather as a national obligation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was honored to welcome in a brotherly meeting the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Ferit Hoxha.<\/p>\n
Relations between Kosovo and Albania are excellent; they are relations between two states of the same nation. Therefore, coordination and cooperation are not a choice but a national duty.<\/p>\n
In addition to bilateral relations, Minister Hoxha and I discussed regional and international cooperation, as well as the Euro-Atlantic integration of our countries,\u201d Kurti wrote.<\/p>\n
Earlier in Pristina, during a meeting with his counterpart\u00a0Glauk Konjufca, Hoxha stated that\u00a0Kosovo is a priority of Albania\u2019s foreign policy.<\/p>\n
The minister stressed that developments in Kosovo are of direct importance to Albania due to the close and inseparable ties between the two countries, adding that the progress of Kosovo and Albania goes hand in hand.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have come here today to convey what Prime Minister Rama has clearly emphasized: whoever touches Kosovo, touches Albania. We agreed that the geopolitical dynamics in the region and across Europe require further intensification of intergovernmental and diplomatic coordination,\u201d Hoxha said.<\/p>\n
