An international treaty is set up by 20 international leaders and the WHO in order to help with better preparation for health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which has brought the whole world to its knees.<\/p>\n
Albania is also part of this treaty. The idea for this treaty, which would ensure an international shared and equal approach on the vaccines, medicines and diagnostics during pandemics, was presented by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel in a G20 summit, last November.<\/p>\n
The main goal of this treaty is the strengthening of the global resistance against future pandemics through better systems of warning, shared use of data and research, better system of production and supply of vaccines, medicine and putting the focus on collaboration and a spirit of solidarity. Along with Germany, France, UK and WHO are countries such as Albania, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Holland, Spain, Norway, Senegal etc.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be other pandemics and big health emergencies. No government or agency can face this threat alone. The question isn\u2019t if, but when.,\u201d wrote the international leaders on the renowned \u2018Le monde\u2019.<\/p>\n
The treaty also emphasized that the health of people, animals and the planet are all correlated and should be a common responsibility, by asking for transparency and global collaboration.<\/p>\n
