The US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim has given a statement for the press at CEAZ no. 39, where she called on candidates and political leaders to wait calmly and patiently for the end results.

“Now the duty of the candidates and the political leaders, is to remain calm and patient and await the results. I know that in the excitement of the moment, some people have declared victory, but of course we all know that the results are not yet finale,” said ambassador Kim.

Yuri Kim emphasized that the voting process in Albania is in the focus of internationals, who are waiting for Albania to succeed.

“The whole world is watching Albania right now. Your friends as far north as Sweden as far west as Spain, we are with you and we want you to succeed,” said ambassador Kim.

The US ambassador urged counters to work hard, despite their fatigue, adding that voters have already done their job.

It’s very good to see the counters working so hard, and we want to see them working diligently without rest even though it’s difficult work. And as I’ve said, voters have done their work, the authorities here are doing their work,” said the US ambassador.
