The Albanian government, after pressure from the officials of the European Union and the USA, withdrew from the initiative for “Golden Passports”, while this program continues to be practiced in Greece.

Since the EU has allowed “Golden Passports” for Greece, this country has earned billions of euros.

The Greek media “eKathimerini” reports that a total of 1.57 billion euros have been invested in the neighboring country in the last 12 months by investors who have benefited from the “Golden Passport”.

Based on the latest data from the Department of Immigration Policy, 6,064 applications for new permits have been submitted in the last 12 months.

But while Greece is reaping billions of euros in profits, the European Union is maintaining double standards.

Greece is allowed “Golden Passports”, while Albania was not given this right. Thus, Albania does not receive income from people who want to receive the “Golden Passport” in our country, as it happens in the neighboring country.

The European Union said that the dangers of this passport are many, both for the economy and security.
