Until the month of September, the value of foreign investments in Albania reached 1.1 billion euros. The figures show that the biggest investors in this period are Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands.

The value of foreign investments was 1.1 billion euros at the end of September. Central Bank data show that in the first 9 months of 2024, they expanded by 55 million euros.

According to the countries that do business in Albania, this year Turkey has dominated, investing 204 million euros in construction companies, energy, extractive industry and the financial sector. After Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands have also brought a high flow of investments, in values ​​exceeding 100 million euros.

The projects of investors with capital from abroad during this year have been mostly concentrated in the real estate sector, both in construction and in the sale and purchase of properties. Transactions in the real estate market this year reached 270 million euros, from 220 that were recorded in 2023.

Companies with foreign capital have shown increased interest in business in the banking sector and in the extractive and processing industry.
