1.37 billion euros of investments from abroad, more capital from existing companies
Foreign direct investments in Albania reached 1.37 billion euros in 2022, from 1 billion recorded in 2021.
By country, the Netherlands was the largest foreign investor for the fourth consecutive year.
The Bank of Albania data show that Dutch investments accounted for 16% of the total flow, followed by Italy, Germany, and Austria.
In recent years, the interest to invest in Albania has been in the energy, oil, and automotive industry, while the data show that most of the investments are not from new companies but from existing ones.
