A total of ten active wildfires are currently spread across the entire nation, the majority of which have been brought under control as rescue teams continue efforts to extinguish the flames.
The situation is still problematic however at the Peak of Runa, in Kukes whereas two new fires have broken out last night, at the village of Mollaj in Mallakaster and Mengaj village in Kavaja.
One of the fires is close to being completely extinguished at the Lundre village in Mat.
- Kukes County
The wildfire in Peak of Runa is still active and remains problematic. Efforts to put out the flames continue at maximum capacity.
- Shkoder County
The fire in the Flet village, Fushe-Arrez is almost stable and there is no risk for it to scatter any further. In addition, the other fire in Srriqen village is still active and efforts are underway to put it out. The fire in the Armiraj village also continues to be active.
- Vlora County
The fire in the Mountain Cipin at the Measplik village in Selenica continues as the rescue teams have brought the flames under control so that residential areas are no longer at risk.
- Lezhe County
The fire at the Koder Thirre village in Miredite continues steadily. To date, around 230 hectares of forestland has been scorched. The fire in Domgjon and Munelle in Miredite continues as well. Meanwhile, the fire in the village Katung I Vjeter, Malung is also active and work by firefighting teams on the ground is also underway.
- Diber County
The fire in Lundre, Mat is close to being fully extinguished after the intervention from the air.
- Fier County
Yesterday at around 15:00 p.m., at the village Mollaj in Mallakaster, another fire broke out scattering around an area covered in bushland, olive groves and pine trees. Based on the preliminary information the fire is brought under control, as work to put it out completely is in progress.
- Tirana County
Yesterday at around 12:05 p.m., at the village Mengaj in Kavaja, another wildfires has broken out at an area covered in bushland and pine trees. At the moment, rescue teams are on the ground and joining efforts to fully extinguish it.
