10,394 drivers were fined during the last week by the Traffic Police of Tirana for violating traffic rules.

As for the administrative measures, some of which are: 859 for speeding over the permitted rates, 100 for using a mobile phone while driving, 33 for using tinted windows, 70 for not giving priority to pedestrians on white lines, 96 for vehicle drivers not wearing a seat belt, 26 for motor vehicle drivers not wearing a protective helmet, 211 for wrong passing and 8,640 for wrong parking.

14 drivers were arrested for driving drunk or under the influence of narcotics and violating various traffic rules.

While 19 vehicles have been blocked for unpaid obligations, lack of documentation and verifications by the Section of Illegal Traffic in the Tirana Local Police Directorate.

Traffic police of Tirana, while continuing the checks on all axes, calls on the drivers to respect the rules of the road traffic in order not to return to the risk of being involved in accidents.
