The Ministry of Defense has given an update on the current wildfires across the country, reporting a total of 12 active fires, one of which has just been reactivated.
According to their daily notice, the overall situation of fires in our country is under control, including the one in the village Kaçni in Diber, where the fire has reignited.
In the village Thirre, in Lezha the fire has advanced downward with a low intensity in the direction of the Xhuxhe village, while rescue teams on the ground are facing difficulties because of the smoke.
In the village Flet, in Shkoder the situation appears more problematic close to the Srriqe village, whereas, at the stream of Vishnje in Vlore, the difficult terrain isn’t allowing authorities to intervene from the ground.

- Flet village, Shkoder
- Guri i zi village, Shkoder

- Koritnik Mountain, inside the natural park Korba-Koritnik, Kukes
- Baxhaj village, Diber
- Vishnje Stream, Vlora
Reignited wildfires:
- Kaçni village, Diber
Since the end of July, there have been reports of over 300 wildfires in various areas of the country. The situation appeared difficult especially in Vlore and Gjirokaster, due to the difficult terrains, with the ones in Gjirokaster also causing two victims.
The defense minister, Niko Peleshi has declared that 3 000 hectares of forestland have been damaged by the fires so far.
