The Sunday of vacation at sea, turned into a tragedy for the 19-year-old of Albanian origin, Anxhelo Cara, from the province of Bari, a resident of Altamura, passed away while spending a relaxing day on the beach in the Gallipoli area, near Zen beach.

The causes that led to the boy’s death are not yet clear, but from the first information it is known that the event happened around 11 am this Sunday. The boy had gone into the sea to help his girlfriend, who seemed to be in difficulty at sea, but was unable to return to the shore.

Rescue services were called immediately, for an hour and a half the doctors tried to revive him, but to no avail. The young man who had gone on vacation in this area, died.

The carabinieri went to the scene together with the soldiers of the coast guard to clarify the case and reconstruct what happened.
