The Institute of Archeology presented the historical studies of the monuments during 2023 at the Academy of Sciences. For this year, the activity of archaeological studies will focus on the city of Belsh.

In the hall “Aleks Buda” at the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the activity of the History and Archeology Commission “Presentation of the volumes “Iliria” 2023 and “Monuments 2023” took place, with participants from the Institute of Archaeology, the Institute of Monuments, other archaeologists working on field projects.

This activity aims to present the results published during the year 2023, as well as to create a climate of cooperation between the researchers of the Institute of Archeology and those of the Institute of Monuments, in preparation for the 2024 academic year, as well as cooperation in joint projects for the coming years.

In the 2024 plan, the cooperation between the Institute of Monuments, the Academy of Sciences for a concrete plan of archaeological studies in the entire territory, focuses on the city of Belsh.
