Albania continues to report a high daily case count and fatalities related to COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours, 9 citizens lost their lives and 572 others were reported to have contracted the coronavirus.
Currently, there’s a total of 179 patients receiving treatment at the COVID-designated hospitals, of which 31 have exhibited severe cases of the virus.
The number of active cases in the country exceeds 8 000, with 3600 cases present in Tirana.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Albania, a total of 2.734 citizens have lost their lives. Only in September and the first week of October, there have been reports of 233 fatalities attributed to COVID-19.
