Twenty-seven members and investigators of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will have a one-week training in Italy, announced the Italian Embassy in Albania.
“The one-week training for 27 members of the NBI starts today. Strikingly similar to our Anti-mafia directorate, the new special structure was founded to tackle corruption and organized crime and includes the Special Prosecution Office”, the Italian embassy stated.
Apart from Italian authorities, the chief of SPAK and the new head of NBI will also be a part of the training.
The embassy reiterated that the training course was funded by Pameca V and is led by Italy.
During their training, Albanian investigators will encounter the best Italian expertise on strategic matters, such as fighting organized crime and busting drug trafficking networks.
