154 Afghan citizens arrived last night in Albania divided into 2 separate flights, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At 22:45 p.m., another group of 95 Afghan citizens that had departed from Kabul arrived at the Rinas airport and were received by the foreign minister, Olta Xhacka and the US ambassador, Yuri Kim.
At 1:00 a.m., an additional 59 citizens coming in from Doha, Qatar arrived on Albanian soil and their reception was also attended by PM Edi Rama.
The new arrivals that came in last night, have been accommodated in the capital city, at the university student dorms that are part of the ‘Student City’ complex.
As of now, the total number of Afghan refugees arriving to Albania in the past 48 hours, is 275.
