The epidemiological situation is not showing any signs of improvement in Kosovo as on Monday, COVID-19 claimed the lives of 28 citizens in a single day. Another 489 people tested positive, authorities said.
For the first time after several weeks, the number of daily recoveries exceeded new infections. Authorities confirmed that 859 citizens had recovered on Monday, taking it to a total of 124,000 from the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of active cases is estimated as around 25,290.
However, hospital admissions are rising again. According to data provided by the health authorities, there are 1,233 patients receiving medical treatment, of which 1,038 require oxygen therapy and 83 are in serious condition.
The virus has claimed the lives of 2,657 citizens in Kosovo.
