There are 3 cases filed in Court by the Democratic Party that can overturn the situation, where this party finds itself in.

The journalist of Euronews Albania, Ardit Hoxha, explained that the first case is Enkelejd Alibeaj’s request to combine the decisions of the assemblies of July 17 and December 18.

“If Alibeaj wins, he will produce a decision of the first instance that recognizes December 18, which also contains the exclusion of persons non grata, therefore also Sali Berisha. Gazment Bardhi has appealed the decision issued by judge Agron Zhukri, who recognized Berisha’s charter. If Bardhi and Alibeaj fail to win, the situation is reversed and Berisha wins the right of representation in court”, explained Hoxha.

There is another case, the one filed by Edith Harxhi for the de-registration of Lulzim Basha from the register of parties as the head of the Democratic Party, which, if won by Berisha’s Democratic Party, could lead to a legal collapse.

If this happens, we will be in for a legal collapse. If the court automatically deletes Basha’s name from the DP register, the question that arises is: who will register the DP in the May 14 elections?” explained Hoxha.
