14,800 farmers and breeders will benefit from national subsidy schemes. The Ministry of Agriculture has announced the winners, for whom 32 million euros are available.

This year, 14,800 farmers have benefited from the subsidy scheme in Agriculture. The news was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, which had received 15,600 applications in the second phase. In the 7 measures approved for support, most of them pertain to support for livestock, for the basic matriculated herd, small animals and cattle, with over 9 thousand farmers.

Beekeeping has also had very high interest, with 4,320 applications qualified.

Meanwhile, as a measure introduced for the first time, it seems that there has been increased interest in medicinal plants, as well as the support measure for greenhouses. For the measure of support for organic farms, 169 applicants have qualified and for global GAP certification, 48 applicants.

The agricultural support scheme this year also included the oil subsidy, which benefited more than 50,000 farmers.

The data show that the Fier region leads in terms of the number of applicants and beneficiaries, followed by the regions of Korça, Berat, Shkodra, Elbasan and Vlora.

This year, 77% of all farmers registered in the country have benefited from the funds in agriculture. The total amount made available to them was 32 million euros.
