4 citizens lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours in our country, while authorities reported that an additional 502 new cases were added to the active case list.
New cases were confirmed after the results of 5.991 suspected tests came back.
In the past 24 hours, 393 citizens have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries since the outbreak of the pandemic in our country to 136,872.
In addition, there are currently 12.108 active cases nationwide, 147 of whom have been admitted to COVID-designated hospitals and 17 are presenting more severe symptoms.
The Ministry of Health appealed to citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible, reiterating the fact that all citizens above the age of 18, can take advantage of the open month of vaccination during the entire month of September.
