The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that 869 citizens had tested positive over the past 24 hours.

Four citizens, from the age of 62 to 86 years old, died from the virus, authorities also confirmed.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths has reached 2,539.

According to data from the health ministry, there are an estimated 12,585 active cases across the country.

175 patients are being treated in the three COVID hospitals in the capital, of which 33 in a more serious condition.

Over 141,000 citizens have won the battle against the virus.

At least 24.14% of the population has been fully vaccinated, according to Our World in Data, ranking Albania fourth among Western Balkan countries.
