Artists from Estonia of the “Kalev” choral group performed at a concert in the city of Gjirokastër, receiving applause from art lovers.

The group consisting of 40 artists, who performed traditional Estonian songs on the artistic stage of the stone city. The special repertoire of the “Kalev” group, intertwined with the folk songs of the Gjirokastër area, created an impression on the spectators by realizing a special cultural evening for the city.

“The group ‘Kalev’ came from Estonia, it is a chamber choir and mainly in our repertoire we bring to the residents of Gjirokastër romantic and national songs from Estonia, mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries. Fantastic city, we will come back again,” said conductor Martin Ejnman.

“We are very satisfied with the welcome that we received from the public of Gjirokastër and this was added to the value we had and a good feeling during the visit to the city. We leave this city with a very good impression, and I am convinced that most of us will come back with our families because the choir members will want to bring their families to see Gjirokastër,” said the artist Elu Poles.

During the summer season in the city of Gjirokastër, artists and music groups with the name of traditional and contemporary music from different countries of the world performed. Such organizations also served as tourist guide points of interest in the stone city.
