About 450 thousand students of pre-university education in the country will start the new school year this Monday.

70 thousand belong to kindergartens, about 100 thousand are high school students and 280 thousand in 9-year education. For the first time, about 29,000 children starting first grade will sit on the school benches.

For the first time in this school year, children who are 5 years old but will turn 6 within the year have been aceppted to the first grade. In addition to the children in the education system, there are also 31 thousand teachers, while the teaching process will take place in 1700 schools scattered throughout the country.

Based on the instruction of the Ministry of Education, this year that starts on September 11 will end on June 14. As for the holidays, they will be divided into two periods. Vacations for about two weeks will take place in December, while another 7 days are planned in the first week of April.

According to the decisions made, the national basic education exams will take place between June 17-18. Students will be tested in Mathematics, Foreign Language and Albanian Language.
