The commander of the NATO Joint Forces Command, Admiral Stuart Munsch, met today in Belgrade with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

In an interview for the Serbian news agency, Beta, Munsch stated that KFOR is closely monitoring the situation in the north of Kosovo.

He stated that KFOR is fully capable and ready to provide a safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities everywhere in Kosovo, in accordance with the mandate based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 by the year 1999.

“Since October we have increased the presence, among other things, by increasing the forces, as well as the patrols in the north of Kosovo this week. We expect all actors to be in close coordination with the KFOR mission and to refrain from provocative demonstrations of force, in order to preserve the safety of all communities”, said the commander.
