UEFA has punished Serbia with a match without spectators and a fine of 50,000 euros, as in Podgorica, where Serbian fans were in large numbers, they chanted “Kosovo is Serbia”.
Serbian fans will also not be able to get tickets for the next match in Bulgaria (June 20) in the qualifiers for the European Championship.
UEFA has declared that Serbia’s suspended sentence has been activated due to derogatory calls and insults on a national basis during the match in Podgorica.
Serbia had defeated Montenegro 2-0 in the match played on March 27 as part of the Euro qualifiers. The sentence will be carried out on September 7, when Serbia hosts Hungary.
