So far, 51 injured individuals from the tragic fire at the PULS nightclub in Kočani have been transferred for medical treatment outside North Macedonia. Minister of Foreign Affairs Timčo Mucunski expressed gratitude for the swift response from regional partners.

“As of today, a total of 51 North Macedonian citizens have been sent for treatment in the following countries: 9 patients to the Republic of Turkey, 14 to the Republic of Bulgaria, 4 to the Republic of Greece, 17 to the Republic of Serbia, 4 to Lithuania—transported by a plane provided by Romania—and currently 2 patients in Hungary,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as reported by TV 21.

He also announced that six more patients would be sent to Austria today, four to Slovenia, four to Croatia, and another four to Norway and Hungary. Additionally, a medical team from the Czech Republic has already arrived to provide assistance, while teams from Israel and Belgrade are expected to arrive at any moment.

The European Union has responded to the country’s request for the activation of the Civil Protection Mechanism, from which additional aid is expected.
