Vaccination against seasonal flu is ongoing in all health centers in the country.

According to a report drawn up by the Institute of Public Health, until November 10, 169,008 doses of the flu vaccine were applied out of 280,000 provided by the Albanian state to be offered free of charge to groups at risk.

This quantity constitutes over 60% of the total available vaccines.

Although the pace of vaccinations is not as in the first weeks, there are still citizens in the polyclinic who apply it.

The highest interest to vaccinate is among people over 60 years old.

Berat is the district with the highest number of people vaccinated against the flu. According to Institute of Public Health data, this district applied 68.13% of the available vaccines, followed by Gjirokastra with 67.18% and Dibra with 66.6%. On the other hand, Shkodra and Lezha are the two districts with the lowest percentage of vaccination.

At a time when experts have isolated flu in circulation, they appeal not to stop vaccination, especially for risk categories, which include chronically ill people, obese people, those with compromised immunity, children and the elderly.
