Confindustria Studies Center conducted a survey on businesses and the economic programs of political parties presented for the April 25 elections.

In terms of taxation, 67% of businesses support the implementation of a 9% flat tax, while 33% expressed relatively low trust levels and said that they do not endorse any of the proposals set forth by the political parties.

Regarding the second question of the survey, whether the same fiscal policies should be followed, respectively for business categories that work in open and competitive markets and business categories working in closed markets, with insufficient competitiveness, benefitting from public-private-partnerships, concessionaires, etc.

• 71% were against the use of unified fiscal policies
• 29% of businesses were in favor of unified fiscal policies

The study was conducted on 143 medium and large enterprises in Tirana, Durres, and Elbasan.
